Cabaret Theatre presents...
Pippin
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Wicked) and a book by Roger O. Hirson, Pippin tells the profoundly human story of a man as he strives to rise above the mundane and to achieve something exceptional. Schwartz's timeless pop-tinged music underscores and heightens Pippin's journey through war, sex, politics, and love, ushered along by a mysterious but encouraging troupe of players. Deceptively lighthearted at face value, the musical's tone quickly shifts and ultimately challenges the audience with one question: how far are you willing to go to be extroardinary?
